Hotel Huasca

Hotel Huasca

Hotel Huasca is a hospitality complex planned for a woodland property on the outskirts of Huasca de Ocampo, Hidalgo. The project supports a private client's goal of entering the hotel sector by making use of a property with distinctive natural qualities. The program comprises seven cabins and shared amenities within an approximate built area of 2,000 sqm.

The primary challenge was to position the development within a pine-covered site at the foothills of the Sierra de las Navajas, with a stream running along one of its boundaries. From the initial site visit, the stream was identified as the principal landscape feature and the preferred outlook for the guestrooms.

AKURAT is the architectural author and was responsible for the architectural design and executive architectural documentation. The strategy responds carefully to the woodland setting, arranging the buildings to integrate with the landscape and orienting the rooms toward views of the stream. The design principles include the use of local materials, energy-efficiency criteria, and measures intended to reduce environmental impact during construction and operation.

The methodology combined site analysis, definition of the hospitality program, architectural development, and detailed executive documentation. As a verifiable outcome, AKURAT completed the architectural package in accordance with the client's expectations, establishing the basis for a retreat connected to the landscape and to the natural and cultural attractions of Huasca de Ocampo.
